An Evening at the Symphony

Jennifer's retreat was over at 3p so I picked her up and took her to my place to get dressed for the symphony. She wore a green and brown evening dress and she looked really pretty. We then picked up my friend George and her friend Amanda. We ate at Birraporetti's which was very good and then went to the Houston Symphony. They played Overture to William Tell by Rossini, Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor by Mozart, Une lueur dans l'âge sambre (a Glimmer in an Age of Darkness) by Connesson and The Pines of Rome by Respighi. The Connesson piece was a US premiere for the French composer. It was shimmering and used bowed crotalies. We then had dessert at the House of Pies. I had Key Lime which was really good. It was a magical evening.
