Fat Tuesday

I went to the Mystic Krewe of Aquarius "Fat Tuesday" Parade with George, Rob and Ron. This is an all Krewe parade that celebrates the final hours of Mardi Gras. This parade is were you get the best beads. I caught a lot of beads. I got one with horses on it and I will give to Jennifer on the weekend. I also got some glowy stuff. What a fun evening.

A Surprise

I have the best girlfriend. I came by Jennifer's apartment on Friday and I was floored when I walked through her door. She was dressed up in the sexy short skirt we found a few weeks ago and has a tight shirt. She looked incredible. I was speechless for a few minutes. On top of that, she made a great dinner which included salmon and wild rice. It was very good. Being a guy floored by a pretty girl, she could ask me to do anything and I would be 'ok what ever you want'. So we saw a chick flick which was pretty good. The movie was Sliding Doors. An interesting idea on how your life could take different route just by missing a subway but also on how some things in your life will just end up happening no matter what life path you take. It was a great evening. Thanks Jennifer.

Happy Birthday Web Log

I started this web log 2 years ago as a way to force myself to see something new when I lived in Marin County since I was quite alone while I was living there.
Last Years Web Log's Birthday Entry

By last years web log birthday, I moved to another state, became a professor at a college teaching music and made some new friends.

A major change from last year to this year is that I have a girlfriend. Not just any girlfriend, but a sweet, caring, cool, intelligent and very pretty girlfriend that really compliments my personality. It is the kind a relationship that I always wanted but began to think I might not ever have. Dating Jennifer is easy and so much fun. People have told me that having a romantic relationship is supposed to be easy. I never really believed it until Jennifer. Thank you Jennifer for being in my life.

DD at Mardi Gras

We all got up and dressed for the Mardi Gras. DD had a jester hat which matched his shirt, vest and bowtie. Jennifer wore a feather mask and dresses in the long brown fake suede skirt. She looked really pretty. I wore a king hat and dressed in a kilt. Ya you read correctly. It was a kilt DD had bought which is the actual color and design for the Sharp clan. DD, Jennifer and I walked to the Pancake House for breakfast. We then walked to the seawall and watched the parade. They both had a lot of fun. Jennifer had a lot of fun catching the beads. Then we made an appearance at Mark and Melanie's wedding shower. We then went downtown to catch some beads. Then the Trumpet building where we had tickets to the Zkrewe Zestival party. We had a pasta dinner and cake for dessert. We then threw beads over the balcony to the people on the street below. Between throwing beads, Jennifer and I had fun dancing to the live band. DD was doing what DD does, makes friends and dances with a lot of different women. Of course there were cute girls flashing for beads. There were also two girls making out for beads. There was also a throwing contest between the two balconies, ours and the one across the street. It is a far distance and they somehow were able to get a couple to our balcony. It was a lot of fun and all 3 of us had a great time. Happy Mardi Gras.

DD in College

DD came to work with me and sat in my Music Appreciation and History of Rock class. It was great having DD in the Rock class. It was like having a guest lecture and the students really liked him. We then went to eat as Salsas with George, Melanie and Mark. I wanted DD to meet Melanie. Later that evening, DD and I went to the dinner at the Olympia Grill with Beth. DD did not meet her when I 1st moved here. It was great listening to them since they are both artists.

DD is in Town

DD flew in from California this evening. I picked him up and went to pick up Jennifer so DD could meet her. We then went to Freebirds. I filled up my card and got a free t-shirt which I ended up giving to DD. He likes t-shirts and he has something to remember this weekend with.

Another Musical Twist

Today Jennifer and I went shopping. I got a couple of nice pants which I need and Jennifer got a short skirt (who does not like short skirts). We then to Jennifer's friend Nathan's B-day Party. He is in the some college year as Jennifer. Some of Jennifer's other friends that were at the party were Amanda (who came to the symphony with us) and Natalie (who I met the same time I met Jennifer)
We then went to the The Continental Club to see Brave Combo. Beth was also there. This is the same wacky band I heard last year with Beth.

(Last Years Entry)

I was dancing swing, salsa and polka with Jennifer who was the prettiest girl there. It was such a fun evening.

Up to the Trees

Jennifer and I took a trip to the Woodlands. After living in Marin, CA I have seen trees but for Texas it was nice. It was mostly pine trees. We also went to the North Harris College to check out their steel drum band and meet the director. It is a good band. The campus is nice with pine trees surrounding the college. We then drove to a park on Lake Woodlands. It was a nice view. Reminded me a little of the Mt. Tam area. We then went the Macaroni Grill for dinner which was very good. It was nice to see lots of trees again.
