Here is one of my favorites this week.
Jennifer and I had some Kolaches at the Kolache Factory and then when to the Children's Museum to hear the Terra Nova Consort play again. This concert was only an hour and they allowed the kids to ask questions. It was still cool to hear them again. We then took Andrew to taste real Texas barbeque at Goode Company which he really liked. We then drove him around downtown to take a look at it and then took him to the airport. It was cool to see him again.
My friend Andrew came to Houston with a group he plays with called the Terra Nova Consort. The concert was music from the Spanish Renaissance. The music was so cool and Jennifer also really liked it. We then took Andrew to the House of Pies after the concert.

I was surfing the web and noticed that Andreas Katsulas died last month on Feb 13 of lung cancer. He received a Master's Degree in Theater. He acted in many sci-fi tv shows. His most memorable is the character G'Kar on Babylon 5. Here are some links about him.

I have added a new category to my web log. The days I spend in Houston with Jennifer I had put in the category of 'Exciting Adventures' or 'Just for Fun'. 'Exciting Adventures' category are more for vacations and day trips. 'Just for Fun' category are for fun adventures around the town I am currently living in. So the new category is 'A Houston Urban Retreat' with the description "Fun Adventures in Houston with My Girlfriend Jennifer".

Jennifer and I went to the Saint Arnold Brewing Company. The microbrewery is in Houston serves the entire state of Texas and a couple of bars in Louisiana. The tours are every Saturday at 1p which concludes with free beer tasting. We receive 4 tokens and we exchange one token for an 8 ounce glass of anything they have on tap. It was like a party with all the people there. I am not a beer drinker but I could not leave a microbrewery without trying some. So I got the Lawnmower and the Brown Ale which were pretty good. Jennifer got the Amber and Texas Wheat. We both then had a glass of homemade Root Beer which was very good.
For dinner Jennifer and I went to the Hobbit Cafe. It was a cool restaurant and good food. We sat outside under a huge oak tree.
